Yet another month of events

Hi everyone!

Two bonsai very rare opportunities this month. You do not want to miss these!

Also, lots of clubs are announcing their 2023 shows. Check them all out! Lots of material to be found in their sales. Many have amazing demonstrators as well.

Yardadori Opportunity

Saturday, March 18, 2023
9:00am-1:00pm

East Bay

The Marin Bonsai Club is inviting Midori members to attend our Yardadori Dig. As mentioned in the previous email, there is a large swath of approximately 60 year old junipers available for digging. Bring your own equipment—shovels, saws, bags—and see what 60 years of growth has to offer.

The location is in the East Bay, and the specific address of the dig will be included in the newsletter email. For more information, contact Tung Dao at tung@marinbonsai.org. Please RSVP at https://bit.ly/marinbonsai-rsvp. 🌳

Bonsai Opportunity

Ryan Rubel, a bonsai enthusiast in Fremont, will be moving back to the Chicago area later this year and must part with some nice and in some cases large collected material including redwoods, wisteria, interesting barked jade trees and others. If you would like to see them call Ryan at the phone number provided in the newsletter email to make viewing arrangements. 🌳

Santa Cruz Bonsai Kai Exhibit and Sales

Good morning fellow Bonsai Clubs!

The Santa Cruz Bonsai Kai will be having an exhibit and sale in May and wonder if you could add our event to your club's newsletter or distribute it amongst your members.

We are attempting to put the event on the GSBF website, too. We thank you for your help.

Please check out his entertaining and informative monthly blogs that you can click on to see a variety of bonsai topics.

Eric will be speaking to us on the subject of developing deciduous bonsai, and will be bringing in some trees for us to see how he has developed them over the many years he has enjoyed them. Eric feels that you can develop your deciduous trees at an early stage of development progressively, but also be refining them at the same time.
