Tree Masters
Pacific Bonsai Expo Photos
I had the pleasure of attending the 2nd day of the Pacific Bonsai Expo, hosted by Jonas Dupuich of Bonsai Tonight and Eric Schrader of Bonsaify. It was an amazing show with over 72 trees on display. Many familiar faces and big names attended along with a very bustling floor full of visitors. 🌳

Bonsai Garden at Lake Merritt Docent Training
The Marin Bonsai Club is extending an invitation to local bonsai clubs to attend our Docent Training session on the morning of January 21, 2023. We hope your club will be able to join us and our tradition to help with outreach for bonsai not only within our local communities, but also beyond. Come see the gardens and learn about what it takes to bring bonsai to the broader public.

Every two years the California Shohin Society organizes a Shohin Seminar in Santa Nella, California, where bonsai masters, teachers, students and general enthusiasts from all over the country gather to learn and share their love of Shohin bonsai. This is the only event of it’s kind in the U.S.
The goal of the Seminar is two-fold: to provide a low-cost, learning-rich environment for those who want to learn more about Shohin bonsai, and to raise money for the Golden State Bonsai Federation’s Bonsai Collections. The Shohin Seminar is a major source of funding for the care and evolution of these collections.
